| Bio: | My name is Josh Parrish. I have a Master of Divinity degree from North American Baptist Seminary. I pastor two small Methodist churches in Bowdle and Tolstoy South Dakota. I love Anglican Chant and death metal. My favorite church Fathers are St. Augustine, St. Basil, and St. John Chrysostom. I also like Jonathan Edwards, and John Wesley. I love modern theologians like Thomas Oden,Eugene Peterson, Kallistos Ware, Tom Howard, Alister McGrath, Stanley Hauerwas, Timothy George, Stan Grenz, Don E. Sailers, Ephraim Radner,Barry Harvey, R.R. Reno, and Philip E. Thompson. I also like Henri J.M. Nouwen and John Piper. I am very much a theological mutt. My favorite actor is Bill Murray, his best films are "Rushmore" and "What about Bob" I preach out of the English Standard Version of the Bible 80% of the time. I sometimes have used the New Revised Standard version of the Bible when I preach. I am busy but enjoy serving God as a pastor. God has brought a great Christian girl into my life. Her name is Miss. Sonya Payne, from Canada. I love her lots. I have a cat named calico and she is a great cat. | |||||
